Artist Statement
Handblown glass bowls, vessels, stoppered bottles as well as solid paperweights in a varity of colour ways, from the striking single vibrant colours of "Mono" elegant stoppered bottles to the vevety multi-layered "Silk Float" to the multi trailed, layered and more complex pieces found in the abstract landscape range " Moors" or the beach and seascape imagery found in the "Sea Shore" ranges. All pieces are handblown and cold finished by Thomas. Cold finishing occurs the day after the hot making process and consists of numerous flattening wheels to create a stable base, stoppering bottles, if required, as well as sandblasting to create a matt finish.
