Artist Statement
Karina works in oils & watercolours from Studio 61 on the edge of The Peak District and owns Stan the Story Van® running children's workshops and book based activities in The Campervan Classroom® .
“With a passion for walking, a love of the hills, the calling of the sea and adventures in our campervan Freddy, I am never short of inspiration. My atmospheric landscapes are often mystical, sometimes textured and always colourful”.
Established in 2005 Studio 61 ran as a commercial studio gallery for 11 years until it moved to a woodland hideaway where Karina still paints or writes accompanied by "Bruno the gallery dog” who loves the new location, daily walks in the woods and more trips away in Freddy.
Karina also owns Studio 61 Giclee Printing and co-runs the Derbyshire SAA Art Group as Purple of Purple and Grey.
