Artist Statement
Working from her studio in the beautiful Peak District Pam takes inspiration from the natural and built environment, painting gardens, landscapes and architecture in striking colours. She works in watercolour, acrylic and mixed media and is particularly inspired by her home town of Buxton. Her entry for the Buxton Spa Prize in 2019 achieved the People’s Choice Award and she has twice been nominated for ‘excellence in visual arts’ by the Fringe Festival. Pam is a member of The Peak District Artisans and has recently exhibited at Chatsworth, Jarva Gallery, Isla Fine Art, The Great Dome Art Fair, Haddon Hall and at The Didsbury Parsonage. She will also be representing Buxton in 2020 at an international exhibition held in Germany. Pam is an experienced teacher of art and holds regular workshops at her studio and is also available for demonstrations, workshops and art parties.
