Artist Statement
Through my art, I aspire to transform spaces through energy, calmness and colour. I hope that they evoke the calmness I feel when creating.
Lyra Morgan is an award-winning painter who resides in the United Kingdom. Though not always obvious, her paintings are influenced by the serenity of water. She is fascinated by the transient nature of the substance that can take many forms, yet is formless. Also, the Japanese concept of ‘Wabi-Sabi’ is prevalent in Morgan’s works, which is the belief in the positive outcome of serendipity. Her artistic process involves the playful layering of colours.
